The latest sports series convertible is arriving now to North American retailers.
McLaren new convertible is characterized by increased power, optimized aerodynamics, reduced weight, track targeted dynamics, absolute driver engagement, and restricted availability. The open-top 600LT boasts almost impossible to tell apart performance to the Coupe, thanks to McLaren carbon fibre Monocell II chassis, which needs no extra bracing or strengthening to get rid of its roof. The 3 piece, retractable hardtop can be operated at speed up to 25mph, with the easy push of a button.
The 600LT Spider is run by a 3.8-liter V8 engine that generates 592bhp and 457lb ft of torque, the vehicles acceleration is 2.8 seconds. The model advantages from the lightweight carbon fibre bodywork that makes the longtial silhouette and fixed rear wing, which produces 220.5lbs of downforce at 155mph. track-targeted, ultra-precise handling is supported by a forged aluminum twin-wishbone suspension system with recalibrated dampers, firmer engine mounts and a lightweight braking structure. The 600LT Spider runs on track-targeted Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R tires.
Weighting in 110 pounds bulky than the coupe, thanks the folding roof, the LT Spider has a dry weight of 2880 pounds. Guess that fluids will include a couple 100 pounds to that, but that is still amazing, and lighter than pretty much everything it battles with.
The included weight has not truly impacted performance, earlier. The coupe and spider both hit 60 in 2.8 seconds, and it takes 8.4 to hit 124.0.3 slower than the coupe. That is such a little difference that you would not see. And if you claim you can, you are lying. Best speed is 196 MPH with top down, 201 with the roof up. That is not quite on par with the coupe, which has a 205 MPH top speed.
